Vision Statement: Drop Christs' message of Love and Hope, like pebbles, into the ponds of our communities so they ripple out to everyone in engaging and creative ways.
Reach Up, to God in Faith. Reach In, among ourselves, in Hope and Reach Out, to our families, friends, neighbours, colleagues and communities, in Love.
Passionately love God and our communities. Be creative in our worship to Christ. Be visionary in learning and growing together. Reach out and engage with our communities in imaginative and different ways so we can share Christs' messages of Love and Hope with those who do not know Him.
WBC : We Believe in Commitment to Community through and in Christ.
WBC is a collection point for the Trussell Trust. We accept donations of non-perishable foods to give to the foodbank in Salisbury. Donations can be dropped off when the church is open or can be collected by using the contact details above. With the school summer holidays coming up your donations will be gratefully received and will help feed local people in crisis.
WBC is also a collection point for Terracycle. We collect items which would not necessarily be put out for recycling, but can be recycled by Terracycle who will give a percentage of the profit they make from this to Cancer Research UK. The items we collect for Terracycle :
Crisp packets
Toothbrushes
Pringle cartons
Electric toothbrushes
Bread wrappers
Toothpaste tubes
Biscuit wrappers
Toothpaste cartons
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever." Hebrews 13 v.8.
If you come inside the Gospel Lifeboat Mission you will find the above text on the wall above the pulpit. This text was chosen by the members when the present building was erected in 1979 because it is something we sincerely believe to be true.
The original Mission was opened in 1891, founded by Albert Shears who travelled around in a horse‑drawn caravan preaching the Gospel. The Lifeboat Mission may seem a strange name for a place so far from the sea but the object of the Mission was to be a 'Lifeboat' for souls. Over the years people have gone out from the Mission to take the Gospel to others just as many have come inside to hear the Gospel preached.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired written word of God and try to live our lives according to the guidelines it sets for us. We also believe in a personal relationship with God and that He knows and understands our human weaknesses, and who is always ready to forgive when we confess our sins to Him.
We have different preachers each Sunday, some from our local area and some from further afield, one even comes from Wales. Their ages and faces may differ but one thing they all have in common is their love for the Lord Jesus and a firm belief in the Bible.
* Where: Gospel Lifeboat Mission Hall
* When: Sundays at 10.45am & 6pm - Holy Communion on the first Sunday evening of the month.

The present Winterslow Methodist Church started its construction in 1865 to replace the original one next door of 1810.
Sunday Worship services are held at 10am, and are led by either lay preachers or Ordained Ministers. The latter often includes the Holy Communion. This arrangement provides a mix of worship styles.
The Methodist sponsors The Winterslow Scout Groups. Our buildings hosts TheTuesday Club, Flower Club, and The Winterslow Singers.
Once a month on the 3rd Saturday morning, 'Common Ground' coffee morning is held from 10 – 12, providing a meeting place to catch up with others.
Any donations given are sent to a different charity each month.
Other Christian Church communities cover two of the other monthly Saturdays.
