Barry's Fields

Winterslow Parish Council Community photo Methodist Church
Barry's Fields is Winterslow's Sports Ground and Pavilion situated in Weston Lane. It was named after Barry Matthiae, a much loved member of the community who owned and ran the now lost village bakery on Gunville Road, supplying daily fresh bread and cakes for the Parish. He was also known for his support of sports based in the Parish.

The Pavilion is provided with two spacious changing rooms, with en-suite showers. The two storey building also has, on the ground floor, the main function room which can accommodate 100 people for events, with a kitchen and bar, male, female and disabled toilets. The full length first floor is fully equipped with a range of activity equipment associated with childrens, activities.

The venue is the home of Clarendon Football Club, which caters for youth football on Saturday mornings through out the season, American Football on Sunday afternoons, Winterslow Scouts three evenings a week, Winterslow Youth Zone two Fridays per month and the Winterslow Friendship Day Centre - 'Tuesday Club' every Tuesday and other activities.

Everyone who enjoys sport, whether playing or spectating, can make use of this great facility and hopefully introduce other sports or social activities that could be accommodated at the venue.

For more details and bookings contact the Parish Council Clerk.
